We know there is so much choice available these days of standard bulk-manufactured furniture being traded all around the world. However, we also know there is a time and a place for some items to be created according to your particular requirement.
It might be for a special item to take pride and place in your home, a gift for someone special, or it could be an unusual location that requires something to be custom-designed to fit a particular place. In the commercial or office environment the same thing applies. You cannot always find what you need from a standard range, and, even if you could, the idea of making a unique item has its own very strong appeal.
We can help with the design of this piece, by visiting you and arranging a free of charge quotation for what you you have in mind, but perhaps have not been able to articulate exactly.
We will help by measuring, sketching and advising on wood choice, finish, joints and design. We can cost this up and estimate the time it will take. That can be done relatively quickly after a first visit. The second stage would be the preparation of detailed design plans, which we would share to get sign-off before the build phase.
Typical items would be chairs, tables, sideboards, dressers, book cases, dressing tables, desks. Remember each can be configured for your particular need and will include taking into account the space available but also any particular customisation that will make it work for you. This could include decorative additions (even a coat of arms, or a discreet carving of a favourite logo or animal), or it could be something functional. So, in an office environment you might want to include something that enables a particular piece of technology to be accessed easily.
